Thanks!   Leave a comment

I want to thank all of you who were able to attend my program at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on April 6! People from all my walks of life – churches, temple, schools, friends, even long-ago schoolmates of my dear wife – came, and it was immensely gratifying to play for such a large and appreciative crowd. (And to Derek, my page turner draftee – special thanks!)

While practicing (and playing very softly as required when tours are in progress), I ended up giving an impromptu organ demonstration to two school groups – an unexpected pleasure indeed to be able to share an inside view of a great instrument.

Cesar Franck’s Grande Piece Symphonique, which was the first organ symphony, is something I’d really love to play on that magnificent organ. I’m looking at dates over the summer to see when Sal Soria, the very fine organist who calls OLA home, will have me back, and will post the date here as soon as I know.

Thanks again!
